There seems to be an unwritten rule that you must put up with miserable friends and family, but with what we know about influence – it’s time to break that rule and distance yourself from the negative people. Even the ones that you don’t see face-to-face.

While most of us know that face-to-face relationships have a huge impact over how we feel and behave, most of us don’t know how powerful relationships on social media can be.

2. Surround Yourself With Positive People

Once you distance the negative people from yourself, start surrounding yourself with the positive people. Just as it is much easier to get into a negative funk with negative people, it is easier to develop a positive attitude when you are constantly around positive people.

If you don’t know anyone like that offline, joining online groups will be just as beneficial. As we established, the power of influence can work from a thousand miles away, so finding communities built around a positive attitude will be extremely useful to your journey.
